Each year, Sam Strubel, a fifth-grade teacher at The Village School of North Bennington, takes her class to Montpelier to visit the state capital and other landmarks. “We learned about how a bill becomes a law (or not!), saw the House of Representatives in action, participated in a mock trial at the Supreme Court, met Justice Eaton, explored The Vermont History Museum, and had a tour at Ben and Jerry’s,” Strubel said.
