Our school community has a unique opportunity to listen to and learn from Ibram X. Kendi on Wednesday, March 3, from 5-6 p.m. Dr. Kendi is one of America’s most remarkable and leading historians and a strong voice helping to guide America toward becoming antiracist. He is the author of many books that have topped The New York Times bestseller list, including Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America and How to Be an Antiracist.

AISNE (Association of Independent Schools of New England) has partnered with Dr. Kendi to host a webinar titled: “Go Beyond an Awareness of Racism: Contribute to the Formation of a Truly Just and Equitable Society.” All Village School adult members—parents/guardians and staff—can participate in this webinar free of charge. The webinar is not intended for students.

Following the webinar, AISNE Community Members are facilitating optional 45-minute conversations for community members to come together, based on their affiliation (as a teacher, staff member, or parent/guardian) with peers from 100+ schools across New England, to reflect together on Dr. Kendi’s message.
