The 4th Grade Field Trip to Howe Caverns

Fourth graders visiting Howe Caverns the opportunity to descend 156 feet below the Earth’s surface to explore a six-million-year-old cave system discovered by Lester Howe. Students learned about geology as they explored limestone corridors, cavernous stone galleries, a subterranean riverbed, and formations of stalactites, stalagmites, and many other natural marvels.
