Fourth Graders looked at the work of Wassily Kandinsky and then made their own abstract paintings in art class using oil pastels and watercolor.

Dear Families,

I am pleased to share the good news that the Village School’s 2022-23 tuition rate of $18,272 was approved by the voters of North Bennington and Shaftsbury District One by a 3 to 1 margin (74% approved). Every vote counts toward the vitality and success of our school and community, and, on behalf of our faculty and staff, I want to thank you for showing your support for the work we do.

The Village of North Bennington’s Annual Meeting will be held at the Carriage Barn of the Park-McCullough House at 7:30 p.m. on March 15, 2022.

Below are a few school and community announcements for your reference, including an invitation to a family-friendly light-sound-movement show called “Dialogue Nordique” that is taking place at the Bennington Museum tonight (Friday, March 4) and again tomorrow night (Saturday, March 5).

Have a good weekend,

Village School Announcements:

• Friday, March 11th is a half-day for students, with dismissal at 11:30 a.m., as the faculty and staff have an in-service day.

• Village School Online Auction Fundraiser

The Friends of the Village School group is planning an Online Auction for May 2022 to help raise money for classroom enrichment activities, un-budgeted supplies, and, hopefully, field trips when Covid times are better! With the need to cancel both the Holiday Catalog and the Winter Carnival this year and last, we’ve lost two of our most crucial fundraisers, and we’re hoping this will help to make up for that loss.
