Dear Families:
We hope your students had a great spring break! We look forward to seeing your students back at school TOMORROW, Monday, April 25.
We are sending this reminder about COVID-19, as cases are rising across the country and locally. If your student or a member of your student’s household traveled or came into contact with anyone who has tested positive or was symptomatic within the last 5 days, please test your student and household members for COVID-19 today and/or tomorrow before the start of school. If you think your student should be tested but you do not have an antigen test available at home, please notify COVID-19 specialist Kim Krall if you would like your student to get tested upon arrival at school on Monday.
According to the VT Department of Health, anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 needs to quarantine for five days. Close contacts do not need to be quarantined but should test on the positive contact’s Day 5. The VT Department of Health remains an excellent resource, and more information on COVID-19 can be found here: https://www.healthvermont.gov/covid-19.
If your student is experiencing any symptoms or is not feeling well, even if they have tested negative for COVID-19, your student should stay home from school until symptoms resolve.
Please reach out to Ms. Krall at covid@vsnb.org if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your support and care in keeping our school community healthy and safe.
Warm regards,
Tim Newbold
