Dear Families,

It was wonderful to see so many of you at this week’s Open House. It’s important for you to have a chance to meet the faculty and staff members who work with your children each day, and it is equally important for our faculty and staff members to have the same opportunity to meet you. Years of research have shown that “When schools work together with families to support learning, children tend to succeed not just in school, but throughout life,” according to the Department of Education. This idea is embedded in our school mission, as “we welcome families into a community-wide collaboration to help our children grow into their best selves….”

Outside of the school day, we would also love to bring our community together for fun, family-friendly events. Our hope is to have a different class plan a different event each month. We are seeking a few family members from each class to help plan these events. In the past, we have enjoyed events such as game nights, movie nights, potluck dinners, school dances, and astronomy nights. If you would like to volunteer and did not get a chance to sign up at the Open House, please click on this online sign-up sheet. Thank you!

Have a great weekend!
Tim
