Dear Families:
We are excited to announce that the Village School will hold an all-school Open House on Tuesday, September 27 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. for the parents/guardians of students in grades K-6. While the informational sessions will be for adults only, there will be supervision for children in the school gymnasium. More information about the Open House will be sent home next week.
Another event to put on your calendar will be this year’s Village Block Party on Sunday, October 9, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Park McCullough House. We are looking forward to a joy-filled potluck gathering with festive activities for families and friends. We hope this will be a fun way for everyone to get to know their neighbors, celebrate community, and have a warm friendly gathering—something we have sorely missed since pre-Covid times. Stay tuned for more details from partnering Village of North Bennington organizations.
As we close out the week, I would like to share a class note from the second graders, who have been learning about the lifecycle of butterflies. A highlight for them was seeing a monarch emerge from its chrysalis on Tuesday. I love the photos above of the kids releasing the monarch outside and watching it land on a hydrangea in front of our school. They are expecting another butterfly to emerge from the second chrysalis next week!
Enjoy your weekend!
