December Holiday Happenings!

• Second Grade Food Drive happening until December 19th

The Second Grade class invites the whole school to participate in their service project helping to collect non-perishable food items to be donated to the food shelf  at St. John the Baptist Church here in North Bennington. If you would like to contribute, please drop off your items in the main lobby by Tuesday, December 19th.

• Holiday Spirit Week – Monday, December 11 through Friday, December 15

What better way to celebrate the spirit of the holiday season than to show your school spirit in different ways every day during the last full week before the December break. Click here to see a flier with all the details.

• Holiday Concert – POSTPONED from December 12 to December 19th (see details below)

• The Holiday Bazaar – Wednesday, December 13 (snow date: December 14)

The Holiday Bazaar will take place on Wednesday, December 13th! Please help your children to think of a few friends or relatives for whom they would like to purchase gifts. To ensure enough gifts to go around, we ask for a limit of 3-4 gift purchases per student. Prices will range from $.50 to $5.00. If your student will not be able to bring in money, please let your student’s teacher know so that we can be of assistance. Volunteers are still needed to help students wrap their gifts on December 13 between 8:15 a.m. to 12 noon.. If you or a family member have an hour to spare, this is an enjoyable and gratifying way to be involved. If you can help, please send an email to sixth grade teacher Mr. Kasulinous at

• Holiday-Themed Fantastic Friday (December 15 at 2:15 p.m. in the school gymnasium)

Families & friends: join us for a joyful celebration of the season as our older students partner with younger students to sing holiday songs together!

A cookie decorating station by Phoenix Fitness will entice some hands-on (and delicious!) creativity. Staff and volunteers from the Village School of North Bennington and the John G. McCullough Free Library will offer a super line-up of ornament-making and craft projects. The Four Corners Carolers will spread good tidings throughout the Carriage Barn, while the Park-McCullough team and staff from The Bank of Bennington provide plenty of extra cheer!
