Third Grade Teacher
Kathleen Backus, the third grade teacher at the Village School of North Bennington, has been a teacher for more than 20 years. She graduated from Castleton State College with a B.A. in Elementary and Special Education. She also has an M.A. in Education from Southern New Hampshire University. Ms. Backus’s classroom is child-centered and celebrates the energy and creativity of each child. She is committed to ensuring each child will have a positive and productive experience. Her classroom is characterized by a climate that is supportive, accepting, respectful, and kind, ensuring that each child will be in a comfortable and nurturing environment. Ms. Backus wants each child to know from the first day of school that she believes in them. In this classroom they will have endless opportunities to soar!
