Amy Bishop
Associate Pre-K Teacher
Amy Bishop is the Associate Pre-K Teacher at the Village School of North Bennington. Her love of working with children started back in 2002, when her youngest daughter started kindergarten. She began her career in education at the North Bennington Graded School and has worked at Monument Elementary School, as well as Bennington Elementary School. Her favorite part of working with preschool children is providing stability, stimulation and positive role modeling, as she strives to shape the adult the child will become. She says it is most rewarding to see children progress and the happiness they show when they have achieved something for the first time. She recently finished her Child Development Associate Course (CDA) and plans to further her education in early childhood. When she is not working with children, Ms. Bishop enjoys spending time with her two daughters.
Mission
Children are at the heart of all we do. We nurture a child's curiosity, ignite enthusiasm for exploring, develop tools for inquiry, for invention, for achievement. We welcome families into a community-wide collaboration to help our children grow into their best selves - responsible citizens and stewards of the greater world, makers of the future.
