Jeff McRae joined the Village School of North Bennington staff as a Teaching Assistant in the fall of 2020. “Mr. Jeff” is a father of three children, all of whom attend or attended the Village School, a practicing poet, and an active jazz drummer. He earned a Bachelor’s in English and a Master’s in Writing from the University of New Hampshire and a Master’s in Fine Arts in Poetry from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to working at the Village School, he worked as an adjunct poetry professor for fifteen years. Following stints as a digital marketing writer and as a substitute teacher, he’s excited to be a full-time member of the school staff and to convey his love of learning, music, and poetry to the Village School students.
Children are at the heart of all we do. We nurture a child's curiosity, ignite enthusiasm for exploring, develop tools for inquiry, for invention, for achievement. We welcome families into a community-wide collaboration to help our children grow into their best selves - responsible citizens and stewards of the greater world, makers of the future.
