Happy Friday, Families!

Thanks to everyone for a great Week 2 of school! I hope everyone can get outside and enjoy the change of season that’s starting to happen.

As a reminder, if anyone in your household travels to a “yellow” or “red” location, where rates of active cases are considered high (as indicated on the State of Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development website map)—or if your household has visitors from a location other than those counties with low rates of active cases—it will be necessary to keep your student home from school to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our school community. The map showing the counties with low rates versus high rates of active cases is updated every Friday and is available at this link: https://accd.vermont.gov/covid-19/restart/cross-state-travel.

VSNB students, families and staff are expected to adhere to the Vermont Department of Health’s travel and quarantine guidance: https://www.healthvermont.gov/response/coronavirus-covid-19/traveling-vermont. Also, anyone traveling to or from Vermont via public transportation (plane, train, bus) needs to quarantine. The quarantine guidelines are explained on the VT Travel site.

Next week’s breakfast and lunch menu, as well as information on how to access meals next weekend, is available. Click here to download the menu and meal information.

Echoing some phrases from our school guidance counselor Tom Hudak: “I would like to extend multiple warm fuzzies to everyone for pulling together and getting through the first two weeks of school in these uncertain and challenging times. Getting the children back into school routines and reconnecting with faculty, staff,  and their friends is a beautiful thing.”

Enjoy your weekend, and we look forward to seeing your students on Monday!
