On Thursday, February 29, 2024, all classes attended a presentation on bullying prevention geared toward their grade-level. Topics included bullying and harassment, rude and mean behavior, the rights of students, and cyberbullying. These presentations were made possible through the Vermont Agency of Education and the Vermont Family Network. After the program, “Keep the Conversation Going” informational sheets with resources and suggested conversation starters for families were sent home with students.

Research suggests that when parents and schools collaborate on children’s learning and problem-solving development, it deepens their knowledge and increases retention. It also reassures children that there are adults who care and will listen to them. Family relationships and connections are key supports for our youth.
