Online Student Registration
Online Student Registration is open for new and returning students for the 2019-2020 school year. All students must be officially registered by September 4, 2019—the first day of school.
Parents/guardians should have received a “welcome” email with your login and password information from the school’s student electronic management system called TeacherEase. If you haven’t received this email, please contact the school directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or 802-442-5955.
Online registration takes about 15 minutes for enrolling the first student and is generally faster for each additional student, as many fields will already be filled in. We suggest you have all your student’s registration information, contacts and references on hand when you get started. Once you begin the registration process, you will need to complete it in full and hit the “submit” button at the end in order for the data to save. If you have to stop or log out, your information will not be recorded and you will need to start again. You can register one student at a time.
We recommend using a computer or tablet, not a smartphone, for the most user-friendly experience. Laptops will be available at the school’s main office during regular school hours for anyone who would like assistance with registration.
As part of completing your student’s registration, please submit the following paperwork as needed:
1. For New Families Only: Please provide the school with a copy of your student’s birth certificate. This can be emailed to email@example.com, mailed to the school or dropped off at the main office.
2. North Bennington Residency Documentation
Two current proofs of residency are required to verify residency in the North Bennington School District.
ONE Primary Proof of Residency from the following list:
-Current tax bill
-Current mortgage papers/closing statement showing a district address and the name of the parent or legal guardian, or custodian
-Formal lease showing the name, address and telephone number of the landlord, district address and name of lessee
-A notarized letter from the landlord stating the address of the residence being leased and the name(s) of the lessee(s), along with the landlord’s address and telephone number
ONE Secondary Proof of Residency from the following list:
-Official driver’s license, learner’s permit or non-driver identification
-Income tax form(s)
-Utility bill or other bills (e.g., power company, cable, etc.).
-Voter registration document(s)
-State or other government-issued identification
-Documents issued by federal, state or local agencies (for instance, local social services agency, federal Office of Refugee Resettlement)
Please email documents to firstname.lastname@example.org or drop them off at school.
3. Field Trip Paperwork
If you are interested in being a chaperone on a field trip, please complete and return a copy of the Vermont Criminal Background Check Release Form to the main office. It needs to be notarized or signed in front of an office staff member. Even if you are a returning parent/guardian who completed the form in past years, it needs to be done again each year. You can download the form here or pick up a form at the main office.
If you are interested in driving on a field trip, the following documentation will be needed and can be e-mailed to email@example.com, faxed to 802-447-2397, or dropped off at the main office:
-A Vermont Criminal Background Check Release form, as described above for chaperones
-A copy of your current driver’s license
-A copy of your car’s current registration
-A copy of your current insurance policy showing bodily injury liability coverage for $100,000/$300,000.
