8/30/21
Dear Families,
The big day is almost here! We are so excited to see your students back at school bright and early on Wednesday morning. The lobby doors will be open at 8 a.m., and classes will begin at 8:15 a.m. Students are encouraged to wear their school T-shirts. If your student has outgrown their T-shirt, T-shirts will be available for purchase outside of the school entrance on Wednesday morning, during drop-off, for $10 each.
The September breakfast and lunch menus are now available on the Abbey Group website: https://vsnbfood.abbeygroup.info/menus.aspx. As a reminder, breakfast will be available on the first day of school, but lunch will NOT be available. The regular breakfast and lunch schedule will begin on September 2. Breakfast and lunch will be FREE for all students and can be ordered on a daily basis. For students who want to purchase milk only, there will be a cost for milk of .50¢.
Dismissal will be 11:30 a.m. All students will be released to parents/guardians or a contact designated for pick up. Students in second grade through sixth grade can be dismissed to walk or bike home ONLY if the school office has permission from a parent/guardian. If you want to give the school permission for your student to walk or bike home and you have not done so already, please fill out this Google permission form.
At dismissal, the McCullough Free Library will have a table set up outside from 11:30 a.m. – 12 noon for kids to sign up for a library account (with their parent/guardian) and select a free book. Library memberships are free to all.

While we are eagerly anticipating seeing each and every student on Wednesday, please remember that your student should stay home and notify the school if your student shows symptoms of COVID-19; has a fever (temperature greater than 100.4°F); or is currently in quarantine due to close contact with an individual with COVID-19 or in isolation due to testing positive for COVID-19.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the school at 802-442-5955 or info@vsnb.org.
We are looking forward to a terrific new school year together!
Warm regards,
Tim Newbold
