Amanda Henry joined the Village School of North Bennington last year as a substitute teacher and is delighted to continue this year as a full-time Teaching Assistant in our First/Second Grade combination classroom. Although she began her career in other fields, including senior services, luxury goods, marketing, retail management, and entrepreneurship, Amanda discovered a love of teaching and learning during her time at the Village School. She brings a wealth of life experience, creativity, and a strong sense of community to her work with students. She founded Elder Living Strategies LLC, a case management service for seniors of all abilities, and has lived and worked in Europe, as well as in several U.S. cities. She holds a B.A. in English Literature from Chiswick Polytechnic College, University of London, and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1997. A lifelong lover of the arts, Amanda considers herself a creative person and enjoys gardening, cooking, and handwork. She looks forward to supporting our first and second grade students throughout the school year.
