Stewart Park is a teaching assistant at the Village School of North Bennington. He began substitute teaching in the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union before joining the Village School staff as a paraeducator in 2012. He is fascinated by the multi-faceted challenges that confront teachers in this era and is delighted to have a part in working with young folks in this world of chaotic confusion. Mr. Park attended Columbia University, receiving a B.A. from Columbia College and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering. He was employed in various railroad positions in the Northeast before retiring from the railroad industry and settling in North Pownal, VT. He confesses to having a visceral tug when he hears a train whistle.
Children are at the heart of all we do. We nurture a child’s curiosity, ignite enthusiasm for exploring, develop tools for inquiry, for invention, for achievement. We welcome families into a community-wide collaboration to help our children grow into their best selves – responsible citizens and stewards of the greater world, makers of the future.
