Outreach and Admissions Coordinator
Sherry Schwarz joined the Village School team as the Outreach and Admissions Coordinator in 2017. Previously, she was the Publications Manager and Website Content Director for the Educational Travel Conference and Community for seven years and the Publisher of Transitions Abroad for five years. Her passion for cross-cultural education was sparked at Middlebury College, where she earned a B.A. in English literature and minors in creative writing and anthropology/sociology in 1999. While there she started the non-profit Abroad View Foundation and its global education magazine for which she served as the Director and Publisher for more than a decade. Mrs. Schwarz and her husband, David Jareckie, have two young children, both of whom happily attend the Village School. At home, she enjoys walking with her family and their dog and two cats, tending the garden, or most any outdoor adventure.
Children are at the heart of all we do. We nurture a child's curiosity, ignite enthusiasm for exploring, develop tools for inquiry, for invention, for achievement. We welcome families into a community-wide collaboration to help our children grow into their best selves - responsible citizens and stewards of the greater world, makers of the future.
